I have both and use springpad most often for new notes/lists/etc. Used to use Astrid till the sync between phone and tablet and website and google ended up duplicating everything 4 times. Moved those notes to Evernote. So I use both. Notes I have had for 4+ years in Evernote and daily stuff in Springpad. Dont know if this is the best way to handle it, but works for me. Actually cant decide between the two. I guess a future feature will decide, so I wait.

I did indeed transfer the RESP to RBC. They were great! I went to a branch near my office (rather than the branch where my chequeing accounts are) and it wasn't a problem for them and it was really convenient for me.

All the family money is one account so I have a lot more flexibility - I just have to indicate who the beneficiary is when I make the contribution (or setup the automatic contributions).I do everything on line now and even get my statements electronically so there's really no difference from the e-Series in those terms. The MER at RBC is a bit higher (still, at just over 0.5% it's not a deal-breaker) but the service is much much better.

BTW, you should definitely do all your homework before going to the bank. Make sure you know what funds they offer, their eligibility, what your objectives are and what your comfort level is for handling your investing choices. Make sure you're driving the conversation or the advisor will slip into salesperson mode!

Hi schultzer, just wanted to ask for an update on this -- did you transfer from td to rbc, and how did they actually compare to one another?

I was earlier dead set on going with td mutual funds, we went to meet with a financial planner a few days back but apparently she was't very knowledgeable about it (or appeared like so). Im not quite convinced yet and looking for other options such as rbc, scotia,etc.

Hope you can shed some light into this. Thanks.

Thanks for the comment. I really look forward to sharing and other enhancements in Springpad.

I've been using Springpad side-by-side with Evernote for a couple days now. And I'm sure I'd prefer to use Springpad, no doubt about that. But I've also run into a lot of little issues (like not being able to add a Contact or Business to an event even though we're given that option; or trying to create a Business from selected text on a web page and ending up with a Note instead with no way to convert it - although when I use the Chrome extension Springpad correctly picks up it's a restaurant but doesn't grab the address, hours, phone that I've highlighted).

It's very frustrating on the one-hand to have Springpad which offers to do exactly want I want but has lots of little bugs; and on the other-hand to have Evernote which does nothing (everything's a note) but does it perfectly.

AAAAARRRRGGGGHH!!!

You're not mistaken about SugarSync! The app has over four stars but almost every reviewer mentions sync problems so I'm a bit wary. Besides, I don't really want all my files sync'd down to my phone - what I really want is my phone backed up and Google+ is taking care of the pictures so I may just go for Titanium pro and let it take care of the rest.

Saw the camera and right away I thought the same as you about it. It looks like a good phone. Wild love to see how it fares compared to my old Xperia. Next Dadcast, indeed to have a look at it. Great article and do I get a prize for recognizing upstairs at Home Depot on the panoramic picture?
